How a medicine reaches you
- Preclinical research. Laboratory work finds a candidate and tests whether it is safe enough to study in people.
- Clinical trials. Phases 1, 2 and 3 study safety, dosing and benefit in growing groups of volunteers and patients.
- Regulatory review. A regulator such as the MHRA assesses the full evidence before granting a licence.
- Manufacture and release. Each batch is made, tested and certified before it leaves the site.
- Ongoing monitoring. Side-effect reports from patients and clinicians keep the safety picture up to date.

Common questions
What should I do if I think I've had a side effect?
Talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. You can also report it directly through the MHRA Yellow Card scheme, which helps regulators spot safety issues.
Where can I find the patient leaflet?
There is a leaflet inside every pack. If you've lost it, your pharmacist can help, or you can search for your medicine on the electronic medicines compendium.
What should I do if a pack looks damaged or wrong?
Don't use it. Take it back to the pharmacy where you got it and tell them what you noticed.
How do I safely get rid of medicines I no longer need?
Take them to a pharmacy for disposal. Don't put them in household bins or flush them down the toilet.

Who we are
Ascend Pharmas is the data controller for this website.
What we collect
- Enquiries: your name, email address and anything you write in your message.
- Orders: your name, email address, delivery address and what you bought. PayMeGate and its independent payment providers handle your payment, and we never see or store your card details.
- Safety reports: details of a suspected side effect, which can include health information about the person affected.
- Technical data: your IP address and browser details, which reach our hosting provider and font provider when a page loads.
Why we use it
- To answer enquiries: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us.
- To fulfil orders: our contract with you, and our legal duty to keep tax and accounting records.
- To monitor medicine safety: our legal obligations, and the public interest in public health for any health data.
- To keep the site working and secure: our legitimate interest in running a reliable website.
Who we share it with
We share data with service providers who run our website and email, with PayMeGate and its payment providers to take payment, with Resend to send order emails, with couriers to deliver your order, and with regulators such as the MHRA when the law requires it. We never sell your data.
Transfers outside the UK
If a provider handles data outside the UK, we use an approved safeguard such as the International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 2 years, and order records for 6 years to meet tax rules. We keep safety reports for as long as medicines law requires, which can be many years after a medicine stops being sold.
Cookies and browser storage
This site uses no advertising or analytics cookies. Your light or dark mode choice, currency, delivery country and basket are saved in your browser so they're still there on your next visit. Our payment partner's pages may use their own cookies to prevent fraud.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to how we use it, or move it to another provider. Some rights are limited for safety reports, because we must keep them by law.

Information on this site is intended for people in the UK. A medicine's licensed uses and availability can differ between countries and can change over time. Always check the patient leaflet supplied with your medicine.
Orders
Placing an order is an offer to buy. We accept it when your payment is confirmed. You can pay by card or crypto. We set prices in pounds and show them in your chosen currency using a recent exchange rate. We charge in US dollars or euros, and the checkout shows the exact amount before you pay. We deliver to the UK, EU and US, and we show delivery charges before you pay. Delivery times are estimates. If your order goes outside the UK, you may have to pay import taxes or customs charges on arrival. Prescription-only medicines are not sold through this site.
Cancelling and returns
You can cancel most orders within 14 days of delivery and get a refund by emailing us. Crypto payments can't be reversed on the blockchain, so we'll agree with you how to send any refund. Sealed health and hygiene products can't be returned once they've been opened. This doesn't affect your legal rights if an item is faulty.
Using this site
Please don't misuse the site, try to access it without permission, or disrupt it for other people. We may change or withdraw any part of the site at any time.
Intellectual property
Ascend Pharmas owns or licenses the content and branding on this site. You may view and print pages for personal use, but you need our permission to reuse them in any other way.
